Executive Vice President
John Bartos is an experienced sales, marketing, business development and product management healthcare executive.
Prior to joining Prematics, Mr. Bartos helped build DrFirst, Inc. into an industry-leading electronic prescribing company. As President of DrFirst, Mr. Bartos developed and executed company's distribution channel strategy and gained deep understanding of the deployment of technology solutions into physician practices. Mr. Bartos led the day-to-day operations of various divisions of the Company, managing the business development, sales, marketing, and product management efforts.
Mr. Bartos successfully sold electronic prescribing and related solutions to physicians, health systems, IPAs, and payors, including Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic Region, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield of Maryland, BlueCross BlueShield of Massachusetts, Tufts Health Plan, MedStar Health, Henry Ford Health System, Dimensions Healthcare, Merrimack Valley IPA, and Fauquier Physicians Network.
Mr. Bartos successfully negotiated deals with RxHub, NDCHealth, SureScripts and major pharmacy benefits managers (PBMs). He also negotiated a variety of marketing, distribution and related deals with PatientKeeper, ePocrates, VantageMed, the Massachusetts Medical Society, the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare, and Sprint. In addition, he helped manage the implementation of electronic prescribing at Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic Region and other clients.
Previously, Mr. Bartos was a practicing attorney at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart, LLP, and Squire Sanders & Dempsey. He represented Glendale Federal Bank in the so-called "goodwill" breach of contract suit against the United States. Glendale was awarded $909 million in damages, one of the largest awards ever rendered against the government. He was also a professional tennis player, ranked among the top 150 Americans in the world.
Mr. Bartos received his AB in Politics from Princeton University, and his JD from The American University, Washington College of Law where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a member of Law Review. |
