Senior Vice President, Finance and Controller
Joe Esparraguera has more than fifteen years of experience in all aspects of accounting and financial reporting.
Prior to joining Prematics, Mr. Esparraguera was the Vice President Finance/Controller of Linens of the Week, a multi-state privately held textile rental firm with $55 million in annual sales. Mr. Esparraguera was responsible for all accounting and financial reporting, including monthly financial statement and report preparation, cash controls, payroll and payroll tax compliance for approximately 1,000 employees, annual financial audit and quarterly bank audits, and all federal and state income and sales tax reporting and compliance. He supervised a corporate staff of 10 accountants and administrators.
His experience prior to Linens of the Week includes serving as Vice President of Finance and Controller for Diveo, the leading provider of broadband Internet access and IT infrastructure in Latin America. Mr. Esparraguera was responsible for all accounting and financial reporting for the company, which operated in 7 countries with nearly 1,000 employees. He managed Diveo's international tax strategies and was Chief Accountant for the company's S-1 filing.
He was also the Assistant Controller for Radio Móvil Digital Americas, exporting the Nextel cellular concept to the major markets of Latin America. Mr. Esparraguera managed the accounting and administration for the United States headquarters and overseas operations.
Mr. Esparraguera earned his Certified Public Accountant license with the State of Maryland. Mr. Esparraguera graduated with a BS in Accounting in 1987 from the University of Maryland, College Park, and spent three years in the United States Army.
