Ken Novack

Ken Novack currently serves as a member of the Advisory Board of General Catalyst Partners. For the past five years, he was a special advisor to General Catalyst Partners and its portfolio companies. He is a director of Humedica, a company that is an active General Catalyst investment.

Mr. Novack retired as vice chairman of Time Warner at the end of 2003. He joined America Online as vice chairman in 1 998 and became vice chairman of AOL Time Warner following the merger in early 2001. He was the lead AOL negotiator for the merger.

As vice chairman of AOL, and subsequently Time Warner, Mr. Novack served as an advisor to the chairman and played a lead role in numerous strategic transactions. In addition to his other corporate responsibilities, Mr. Novack oversaw the legal department and venture investment group of AOL.

Before joining AOL, Mr. Novack practiced law at Mintz Levin for thirty-two years. His practice focused on venture capital, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. He served as counsel and advisor to entrepreneurs, venture capital firms, and investment bankers. In addition to his technology clients, Mr. Novack acted as outside counsel to numerous life sciences companies, including Biogen Idec, (NASDAQ: BIIB), Charles River Laboratories (NYSE: CRL), ImmunoGen (NASDAQ: IMGN), Instrumentation Laboratories, Myriad Genetics (NASDAQ: MYGN), and Paratek Pharmaceuticals. He currently serves as senior counsel to Mintz Levin.

Mr. Novack also continues to serve as a director of Time Warner, as well as Appleton Partners, Leerink Swann, and Paratek Pharmaceuticals, and he is a member of the Advisory Board of Gordon Brothers Group.

Mr. Novack received his BA from Dartmouth College and his JD from Harvard Law School.
