Operations Systems Support Manager
Location: Vienna, Virginia
Essential Job Functions
- Reports to Senior Director, Infrastructure Engineering
- Selects, designs and implements network and systems monitoring solutions
- Leads effort to implement management systems integration and reporting tools
- Interfaces with operations, development and engineering
- Provides support and training of the tools developed
- Manages a small team of developers, engineers or consultants
Required Expertise
- Experienced working with hosting vendors
- Recent hands-on experience using OSS tools
- Recent experience selecting or developing monitoring solutions
- Experience with Sybase/iAnywhere Afaria (desired)
- Experience with Nagios (desired)
- Experience with SNMP-based management tools
- Experience with security tools and appliances (firewalls, IDS, etc.)

- Mid/Sr-level professional
- Should be able to work unsupervised
- Self and quick learner
- Comfortable working alone or as part of a team
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- 8+ years experience
- Minimum Bachelor s Degree
