Installation Specialist

Location: Tampa or Miami / Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Prematics is seeking an Installation Specialist to serve the Tampa (Pinellas/Hillsborough) or Miami/Fort Lauderdale (Dade/Broward) area. The position reports to the Regional Deployment Manager and is responsible for installation, field service and install validation processes for the Prematics electronic prescribing service, as well as daily coordination with outside installation vendors in either the Tampa (Pinellas/Hillsborough) or Miami/Fort Lauderdale (Dade/Broward) Market.

The Candidate must have strong time management skills as well as proven experience with data cabling and IT equipment installation. Experience with medical information systems (Practice Management Systems and/or Electronic Medical Records) a strong plus.

The Installation Specialist will also be responsible for detailed tracking of installed equipment, keeping the Prematics CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system up-to-date and maintaining extremely professional standards when working with our customers.

Essential Job Functions

  • Work with our customer physician practices to ensure a high quality on-site installation
  • Coordinate with installation vendors and in-house staff to ensure practices are installed in a timely manner
  • Strictly adhere to validation procedures to ensure that practices meet minimum performance requirements
  • Liaison with appropriate team members to communicate practice readiness
  • Assure overall physician satisfaction Quality customer service is a must
  • May occasionally require flexible / non-standard schedule to accommodate practices that desire service in early morning, late evening or weekend hours

Required Expertise

  • Must have demonstrated proficiency in installing structured cabling as well as termination of patch panels and workstation jacks
  • Experience with Wi-Fi coverage testing and validation tools is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in training users of software applications a strong plus
  • A+ certification (or similar) is preferred
  • Familiarity with Linux is preferred
  • Excellent customer service, verbal and written skills
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project
  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred

Skills and Experience

  • Experience with mobile/PDA-based applications a strong plus
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records software a strong plus
  • Experience working in medical practices (e.g. office manager, nurse, pharmacy tech, etc.) preferred, but not required
  • Time management experience demonstrating ability to meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and proactive
  • Bachelor s degree or Associate s degree and relevant experience

Travel: Intra-state travel required.
