Michael Russo
Senior Vice President, Technology
Michael Russo is responsible for overseeing Prematics technology development
strategy, including quality assurance, and technical architecture and operations.
He brings more than 20 years of executive and entrepreneurial experience leading
health care software development and implementation for start-up and publicly held
companies.
Prior to joining Prematics, Mr. Russo served as chief technology officer for Artromick
International, a leader in medication management systems, where he was responsible
for product visioning and development of a commercial patent-pending software product
for the long-term care market.
Earlier, Mr. Russo served as vice president NeighborCare, Inc., a long term care
pharmacy services company, where he led the strategic product development of clinical
and operational solutions. Under Mr. Russo's leadership, the company was able to
deploy an advanced pharmacy system capable of substantially lowering the cost of
prescription fulfillment and electronically connecting with customers. This system
was initially developed by HealthObjects, a company co-founded by Mr. Russo and
later acquired by NeighborCare.
Prior to this, Mr. Russo served as vice president of development for Specialized
Clinical Services where he built the first commercially successful home infusion
pharmacy software product used by many hospital-based home infusion programs.
