Tammy Lewis

Chief Marketing Officer

Tammy Lewis is responsible for the development and execution of Prematics marketing strategy and oversees recruitment, alliances, communications and product marketing. She brings to Prematics nearly 20 years of healthcare marketing experience and joins the leadership team after working with the company for a year when Prematics was a client of Zygantic, a healthcare marketing consultancy which she founded and served as president.

Prior to Prematics, Ms. Lewis was Chief Marketing Officer of Surescripts where she developed their go-to-market strategy and built the SureScripts brand making it a “household” name within health IT. During her six years as CMO she created and oversaw the launch of a number of very successful industry initiatives such as the Get Connected Campaign, the Annual Safe-Rx Awards, the GoldRx Advanced Certification Program and pharmacy-led National E-Prescribing Consumer Awareness Campaign. Ms. Lewis helped grow the SureScripts Pharmacy Health Information Exchange from its first transaction in 2003 to over 6 million prescription transactions per month when she left in the summer of 2008.

Prior to Surescripts, Ms. Lewis was Senior Vice President of Marketing at MedicaLogic/Medscape where she oversaw the professional and consumer health information portals and clinical applications business units, which included Medscape, CBSHealthWatch and the company’s electronic medical record system, Logician.

Ms. Lewis began her healthcare career at Hoffmann La Roche, where she specialized in HIV/AIDS. It was during her nine-year tenure that she oversaw marketing for the HIV franchise and was responsible for the launch and introduction of the first protease inhibitor, a cornerstone of the HIV/AIDS “drug cocktail” that has helped extend the lives of those living with HIV.

Ms. Lewis received Bachelors of Science in marketing from the University of Maryland and her MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.
