Bethesda (MD), July 11, 2006 — Prematics™ today announced that Barrett Toan, one of the nation's foremost executives in the pharmacy benefit management (PBM) industry, has joined the Company's Executive Council. Toan's fellow Council members include former Health & Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson, Senator John Breaux (ret.), and Frank Newman, former Chairman and CEO of Eckerd Corporation. Toan is the former Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Express Scripts (Nasdaq: ESRX), one of the nation's largest pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). As CEO, Toan led the Express Scripts' initial public offering (IPO), deployed innovative cost-savings and patient safety programs, and grew the Company into a Fortune 500 firm with more than $15 billion in annual revenue. Prior to joining Express Scripts, Toan was the COO and Executive Director of Sanus Corps Health Systems Inc. (later GenCare), a leading health maintenance organization. Before joining Sanus, Toan served in the public sector in a variety of roles, including the Director of Missouri's Department of Social Services.

Toan has served on the board of directors of U.S. Cellular, Olin School of Business, Missouri Historical Society, and Kenyon College. His numerous awards include being named Inc. Magazine's Entrepreneur of the Year. Toan holds a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania's The Wharton School of Finance and Commerce and a bachelor's degree from Kenyon College.
