Ashok Agrawala, Ph.D.

Dr. Ashok Agrawala is an expert at networking and communications issues. Dr. Agrawala is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Maryland. He is also Director of the Maryland Information and Network Dynamics (MIND) Lab. Dr. Agrawala helped develop Rover, a DRACCO technology for location-aware information systems and rapid deployment of communication systems. His research activities have been supported by various federal agencies including DARPA, NSF, and AFOSR. Dr. Agrawala holds joint positions with University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS) and the Department of Electrical Engineering. He is the author of seven books and over two hundred technical papers.

Matthew Gast

Matthew Gast is a nationally-recognized expert on issues related to wireless networking. He currently serves as Corporate Systems Engineer at Trapeze Networks. Prior to Trapeze, Mr. Gast was a member of the business development team at NetScreen, where he worked with strategic partners. His most recent book, .802.11 Wireless Networks: The Definitive Guide. (O.Reilly, April 2002), is a well-respected and best-selling reference on that rapidly emerging technology. Mr. Gast has assisted the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in developing wireless LAN security recommendations for the U.S. federal government. He is also an active participant in the Wireless LAN Security Initiative at the Interop La (iLa), where he works to deploy cutting-edge wireless LAN security solutions.

Scott Jenson

Scott Jenson is a leading authority on user interface and navigation design for software applications on both handheld devices and desktop computers, with over 15 years of experience at organizations such as Apple Computer and Symbian DesignLab. Mr. Jenson is currently at Google, where he serves as lead User Interface designer for Google.s mobile applications. Previously, he was President and Founder of Jenson Design, a consulting group which does human interface design, with customers such as Netscape, Mayo Clinic, and American Express. Previously, Mr. Jenson was the Director of Symbian DesignLab where he led the navigation and user interface design to numerous mobile internet services including the Quartz reference platform (Sony/Ericsson P900). Prior to Symbian, Mr. Jenson was a Human Interface manager at Apple Computer, working on projects such as QuickTime, FileShare, AppleMail, AppleScript, Publish & Subscribe, QuickDraw GX print architectures, and the Apple Newton.

Milo Medin

Milo Medin has been part of the Internet development community for more than 25 years. He was a founder and the Chief Technology Officer of Excite@Home, recognized as the largest broadband services provider of its time. Prior to founding Excite@Home, Mr. Medin worked at NASA, where he directed the National Research and Education Network and managed the primary west coast interconnects for the Internet as well as architecting and managing the global NASA Science Internet. He was also instrumental in establishing the TCP/IP protocol as an industry and government standard. Mr. Medin is part of Technet's CEO Broadband Policy Task Force. He has participated in a number of Public Policy forums, including two National Academy of Sciences panels, and has given testimony in Congress and before the Federal Communications Commission.

Stell Patsiokas, Ph.D.

Dr. Stell Patsiokas is an expert in developing consumer electronic products in recurring revenue businesses. Currently, he is Executive Vice President, Technology and Engineering for XM Radio. Previously, Dr. Patsiokas was with Motorola, Inc., where he served in a variety of consumer electronics design and development roles since 1979. Since 1996, Dr. Patsiokas was Director of Product Development for Motorola's Messaging Systems Product Group, where he was involved with developing the PageWriter 2000 two-way messaging device. Dr. Patsiokas holds 24 United States patents.

Rajeev Surati, Ph.D.

Dr. Rajeev Surati is a technologist with experience with multiple successful technology companies. Currently, he serves as Chairman of photo.net, the world's largest high-end photography community garnering over 40 million page views a month. Dr. Surati also serves as Investment Manager for Surati Bayless Investments, where he invests in entrepreneurial ventures and actively builds those companies on both a strategic and tactical level. Previously, he was the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Flash Communication, which was acquired by Microsoft in 1998.
